Mongolia will open a new export gateway at Gashuunsukhait port for coal traded through the stock exchange

It has been three months since Mongolia started online coal trading, and the country sold 1.2 million tons of coal in 26 auctions.

The Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry informed the cabinet members that there is a need to expand online coal trading and improve the organization of the border port to deliver products to the buyer on time. Therefore, the cabinet decided to open an extra gateway at the Gashuusukhait port for the export of coal traded online.

In addition, the Prime Minister tasked the relevant cabinet members to take measures to start online trading of minerals other than coal in a phased manner and to ensure the smooth passage of all types of minerals traded online through all border ports for export.
