Construction Begins on Shiveekhuren-Ceke Railway

During the opening of the construction work for the Siveekhuren-Ceke cross-border railway, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene.L stated that the railway connection between the Shiveekhuren-Sekhee port marks the beginning of the western vertical axis railway.

Prime Minister emphasized the strategic importance of connecting Shiveekhuren-Ceke Port by rail, as it marks the beginning of the Western Vertical Axis Shiveekhuren-Narynsukhait-Artssuuri railway, a cross-border railway that is part of the Economic Corridor connecting Mongolia, Russia and China.
In the past, Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene.L personally inspected 10 ports and addressed the following issues. After being stuck for 14 years, Mongolia has finally reached an agreement with China on the border connection point of Gashuunsukhait port. The port has recently opened a container terminal and implemented driverless AGV technology.

•Construction has begun on Shiveekhuren-Ceke Railway.
•The Khangi-Mandal port railway, which serves as the third export gateway, has recently been put into operation.
•The Zamiin-Uud port has recently undergone updates.
•The construction of the 416 km Tavantolgoi railway has been completed.
•The construction has begun on the 415 km railway line from Choibalsan to Khuut to Bichigt.
