The Prime Minister of Mongolia, Oyun-Erdene.L, held a zoom conversation today with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, and exchanged views on cooperation. During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his support for the tax and legal environment if Tesla branch is to be established in Mongolia.The Prime Minister emphasized his support for the use of electric cars and the introduction of green technologies in the world. He expressed his contribution as the Prime Minister by urging citizens to use electric cars. He also asked Elon Musk to start research on the joint use of copper and rare earth elements, which are the main raw materials of Tesla's products, to support the electric engine for large-scale mining vehicles, and to initiate a scholarship program to train Mongolia's best IT engineers.
Elon Musk thanked the Prime Minister of Mongolia for meeting virtually for the first time. He expressed his interest in Mongolia, which has a rich history, and his desire to visit Mongolia whenever possible. He said it would be a pleasure to work together to increase the use of electric cars in Mongolia.
